:: Seed Grading

On-Farm Grading and Depot Grading

Experience the convenience of cleaning your grain or seed at your door.

Mobile seed grading - Westgate Seeds have a mobile seed grader assembled on a truck which is easily moved from farm to farm for clean seed grading. It consists of a clipper, scalper, aspirator, screens and indent cylinders which do an excellent job at removing small grain, straw, chaff and weed seeds including black oats. On farm grading is bulk to bulk with screenings also going into bulk or 1 tonne bags.

Depot grading - Drop your seed or grain and have it graded while you wait or stored for pick up at your convenience. Seed brought to our Dalby depot can be bagged to 1 tonne bags.

Dockage grading – We can bring your grain up to a higher level for delivery at harvest increasing your dollar value. Dockage grading removes screenings or weed seeds that are preventing grain from being a higher grade. For example 13% protein wheat can be downgraded to feed because of screenings. Removing screenings to below 5% will lift the grain quality to prime hard and at harvest 2010 means an increase of over $100 per tonne.
